The latest instalment of my week in pictures comes from photographer, Alicia Taylor. An RMIT graduate based in Melbourne, Alicia has worked with an elite list of clients, including Condé Nast Traveller UK, Qantas, and Vogue Living Australia. She now works worldwide on travel, architecture, interior and food publications. Here's her week in pictures...

I moved into my new office this week. When I'm not shooting or catching up with friends, I spend time editing and researching new ideas and designs, and currently I'm designing myself a desk combining brass and wood. Recently I purchased some lovely objects from Tarlo & Graham in Fitzroy, one being an 'Antique Butterfly' collection from Paris. During a weekend with friends in Somers, we found this Vintage green steel filing cabinet. My chair was collected from hard rubbish and I sanded it back to its lovely raw wood, then had it re-upholstered in a checkered wool fabric. A shelf to place my camera collection, one being the first camera my Mother gave me when I was 12 years old and an 8mm film camera my Grandfather used.

My weeks are so varied depending on the assignment and where I am in the world. One day I could be shooting still life/food/interiors or travel anywhere in Australia, then next, working in the UK. Home is Melbourne where I love to live and be close to family and friends. These images: (from left) a shoot in the country for Elle Décor UK, then an advertising shoot for Liefje Chocolate, another advertising shoot for St Elmo restaurant in Byron Bay and a travel photo of Wategos Beach in Byron Bay for Conde Nast Traveller UK.

Working with Vogue Living led me to architectural photography. I have such a love for this photographic genre. Not only are the spaces so considered, the architects I work with are some of the most interesting people I know. This was a shoot with Nielsen Workshop in Noosa. After one particularly hot day working together we all hit the beach. Perfect balance for life!

My dear friend and long time assistant Jessie Prince (left), standing beside her, the super creative stylist Tessa Kavanagh. These wonderful shoots I capture happen because I have such a great team. This picture is of the girls helping me line up my next portrait.

I love working for Country Style and being sent to such lovely locations to capture dreamy lifestyles outside the hustle and bustle of the city. This is a recent shoot in Tasmania with Tessa Kavanagh. We shot in this amazing location off Bruny Island called Satellite Island. You can rent this Island and have the entire place to yourself! The Island is surrounded by oysters, and just one cast off the pier is sure to lead to a great nights dinner.

After the March front cover shoot, we photographed Tasmanian products for a decorating story with Country Style. This is me having a little chat with Hoover, a curious pet sheep living at Shene, together he and I are working out his best profile.

Squash is my new favourite thing to do for exercise. My brother's girlfriend got me and my siblings hooked. I mostly lose points because I'm laughing so hard! That's my excuse anyway!

I love swimming, particularly in Byron Bay. I work in Byron often, and as a lunch break I really enjoy jumping into the water at Wategos. This first image is of Main Beach in Byron, that I shot whilst eating chocolate sorbet with my mentor, who I used to assist, UK photographer Emma Lee. The second image, taken during a coastal camping trip, is of my brother in Jervis Bay body surfing towards me. I'd say both Byron and Jervis are my two favourite beach spots in Australia.
