Are you a Christmas planner or a last-minute person? For the house, I start getting ready at least a month out. For gifts I'm a bit of a last-minute person. Thank god for Temple & Webster gift cards!

Describe your Christmas style? Modern traditionalist – I love the customs and symbolism, but with an Australian take like a front door wreath made from native flowers.

Where will you celebrate this year? With the family on the North Coast of NSW. Proper Christmas lunch with turkey, followed by a long nap.

Three things always on your festive table? We are mixed religion family, so Christian iconography is blended with a Hannukah Menorah. Just don't overthink it!

Any essential festive decorating tips or traditions? Don't skimp on the bon-bons – a luxe cracker makes any table look glam.

Top of your gift wishlist? I'm a dinnerware aficionado, and have been fortunate to have seen a sneak peek of the new ED Ellen De Generes Crafted by Royal Doulton. Ellen plus homewares, how can you go wrong?

Best Christmas present you’ve received? And given? This Christmas, my partner and I have bought each other tickets to see Adele in Melbourne next year.

On Boxing Day I… hit the beach (after shopping T&W's Boxing Day sales).



Are you a Christmas planner or a last-minute person? I love planning every detail, choosing a colour theme for the tablescape with crockery, cutlery, glassware and servingware. Personal touches are just as important – I also handcraft bunting and make my own wrapping paper.

Describe your Christmas style? I steer toward tradition but try to modernise my theme – this year it will be blush leather handmade decorations and presents wrapped in hand-dyed fabric, while the table will have natural stoneware, black cutlery and greenery.

Where will you celebrate this year? On the NSW South Coast – the morning with my family on the deck overlooking the bush, followed by my husband Cameron’s family for lunch by the sea.

What’s on the menu? Champagne cocktails and brioche with passionfruit curd in the morning, followed by a lunch of honey glazed ham, pulled pork with crackling, summer salad and decadent wine.

Three things always on your festive table? Beautifully soft napkins, handmade bon-bons and some sort of greenery – an easy formula for a festive but relaxed feel.

Top of your wishlist? A personalised neon sign for our home.

Best Christmas present you’ve received? My sewing machine has seen me through many crafting projects.

On Boxing Day, I… throw together a last minute table setting and enjoy leftovers with my family. A beach swim and backyard cricket are also essential.



Describe your Christmas style? I love a real tree, the smell makes it really feel like Christmas. I'm also a fan of old-school brown paper wrapping for presents embellished with gorgeous ribbons, gift tags or interesting seed pods and foliage.

Where will you celebrate this year? With family in New Zealand at my sister’s beautiful new house by a lake, dosing up on country air, sunshine, good food, long walks, board games and family time.

What’s on the menu? We have a big Christmas brunch with Mimosas, ham and delicious scrambled eggs, then an afternoon of napping before we sit down to a traditional roast turkey with amazing stuffing, copious amounts of champagne and a special family dessert called tipsy tart.

Three things always on your festive table? Champagne, good quality Christmas crackers and a beautiful floral centrepiece from the garden.

Any essential traditions? We keep some of my mum’s Swedish traditions such as baking peppakakor biscuits with my son Charlie, three. Some hilarious ceremonies involving tossing the tree and drinking lots of schnapps also come with that territory.

Best Christmas present you’ve received? A beautiful Gabrijela Iva Polic painting from my partner, Ashley, for our bedroom called 'So Joyous'.

Best Christmas present you’ve given? I gave my Mum and Dad a trip to Uluru a few years ago (I went too). It was magical, spiritual, incredibly moving and of course breathtakingly beautiful. None of us were prepared for how much it would affect us.

On Boxing Day I… sleep in late, have a big recovery brunch and then focus on getting in the holiday spirit. Hammocks all lined up, a good book and general relaxation.
