Temple & Webster's latest operational updates regarding deliveries

Effects of the Omicron outbreak on logistics networks
Temple & Webster (including all our warehouses, suppliers and carriers) remain 100% operational and able to deliver items all over Australia. The ever-changing situation in each state with the current COVID-19 outbreak is creating challenges at every level of the supply chain. The current outbreak of COVID has severely impacted supply chains nationwide. Our supplier warehouses and carrier partners are suffering staff shortages. As such, we expect delays in the delivery of orders. Our warehouses and delivery partners continue to work to get your orders to you as quickly and safely as possible in line with the most recent current COVID restrictions in your state. Our priority remains the safety of our team, customers and partners, and your patience is greatly appreciated. Contactless delivery procedures are in place to keep everyone safe.

Our warehouses and suppliers are working hard to process order volumes with reduced staff and resources. Please note the expected order fulfilment date and delivery estimate when placing your order. Keep an eye out for email and text notifications from Temple & Webster and our carriers for delivery updates.

Our carrier's parcel processing facilities and delivery drivers are working in line with COVID-safe measures to keep our customers safe, and are struggling with staff shortages. Collections of freight, processing and deliveries are all affected at present. In some areas, carriers are working with fewer staff. This may result in a short delay between your order shipment notification and your order's first scan movement, as well short delays between scan events. 

Deliveries may still occur on the weekends and after hours to residential addresses in some areas. Please maintain social distancing and wear a mask when accepting deliveries.

Most key transport lanes are still experiencing delays due to staff shortages and backlog.
  • Metro & interstate metro = up to 3 day delay
  • Regional & interstate outer metro = up to 5 day delay
  • Cross country = 5 day+ delay

We request that you please provide a valid delivery address that is attended during business hours where carriers can deliver orders. Our carriers may return the freight to location from where orders were originally collected, for any non-deliverable orders to a closed business address. Any request for redirections or change of address may not be able to be accommodated by the carriers, or may delay delivery of your order.

For 2-person delivery services, our 2-person carrier providers will contact you to arrange delivery in line with current restrictions in your area. Please be patient and understanding if we are unable to deliver your items inside your home or workplace.

We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and disappointment of delayed deliveries. We ask for your patience and understanding as we deal with various issues that are outside of our direct control. It is 100% our responsibility and our highest priority to deliver your items to you as quickly and as safely as possible.

Delays due to severe weather in Eastern Australia and regional areas nationally
The severe cyclone, rain and flood weather events currently affecting areas in New South Wales and Queensland can cause disruption to transport networks, and may unfortunately cause your delivery to be delayed. Our carrier partner's regional agents are also affected by weather events and increased volume. We apologise for the inconvenience of delayed deliveries for some of our NSW and QLD customers, and appreciate your patience. Delays with Couriers Please into WA
You may experience delays of up to 15 days with deliveries sent with Couriers Please into WA due to the ongoing effects of COVID-19 on transport networks. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by a delay in delivery. We will continue to send shipment notification updates on the progress of your delivery.

We send tracking update notifications immediately via email & SMS
Normally, we send an update at each stage of the delivery process, however, at the moment, sometimes the first notification that you will receive is on the day that your item is being delivered to you. This is because not all items can be scanned individually due to the high volume of items being processed.

All our products ship from within Australia
Temple & Webster ships products from a network of suppliers and warehouses all of which are located in Australia.

Orders containing multiple items or boxes may be delivered separately
This is the fastest way to get your items to you and helps our carrier partners work through the record volumes of parcels that they need to deliver. We know this can be inconvenient and frustrating for you, but please bear with us, as it helps everyone get their items as quickly as possible.

We appreciate your patience
As you would expect, our care team is very busy. We are here for you 7 days per week and our sole aim is to ensure that you receive your order as quickly as possible and that you're happy with it. We're working hard with our wholesale suppliers, warehouse teams and delivery partners to get you the most accurate and up-to-date information, and resolve your enquiry as quickly as we can. In fact, our 250+ persons care team handles 5-10,000 contacts per day, so they're working as hard as they possibly can.
