We love our pets at Temple & Webster: we share snaps of our furry friends on a dedicated Slack channel; we can’t resist a pet pal at our photo shoots, and we love taking on cool new pet brands (hello Sash Beds & Mog & Bone, and expect more new pet accessories to come!). We’re also very partial to a sweet treat and have some very talented bakers in the Temple & Webster family, so when the opportunity to combine these two passions came up, well, we certainly couldn’t pass it up.


 
For this year’s RSPCA Cupcake Day, we pulled out our cake pans, whipped out the sprinkles and got creative, and the results for the fundraiser were pretty impressive. The delicious spread included puppy paw print vanilla cupcakes by Product Manager Deidre; chocolate cupcakes with strawberry icing and handmade animal toppers by Customer Care Consultant Sarah, and Logistics Manager Mel’s re-creation of her pet Ziggy's “magical do-doos”! Best of all, the efforts of the bake-off resulted in a $1230 donation to RSPCA Australia.

Our judges Purchasing Officer Han, Customer Care Team Leader Shannon, and Customer Care Consultants Sarah and Alicia, took judging duties very seriously, whipping out score cards for each entry (yes, we don’t mess around). In the end, Senior buyer Belle claimed the winning entry with her vanilla mud cupcakes with raspberry buttercream, while People & Culture Manager Billie won the hearts (and stomachs) of Tempsters with her cute Cookie Monster cupcakes.
