Switch off and celebrate Earth Hour
The countdown for Earth Hour 2023 is upon us. This year, Aussies are being called on to take #TimeOutForNature to reflect on the incredible benefits nature provides us. Whether it's a stroll around your local park or nature strip, planting a native tree in your backyard, or simply stargazing, Earth Hour provides us a fabulous reason to slow down and reconnect with Mother Nature.

Need some ideas on how to spend Earth Hour this Saturday 25 March 2023, 8.30pm AEDT? Look no further.
1. Light some candles - perhaps lavender, citrus or peppermint scented - to set the mood while you enjoy some Earth Hour Slow TV: a sensory feast of nature and wildlife ASMR.
2. Bring out the cocktail shaker to whip up some classic cocktails to enjoy while listening to your evening soundtrack of pitter pattering possums and shrieking flying foxes.

3. Get out the games for some family time in your balcony or backyard, or if it's just the two of you, battle it out over chess or backgammon.

4. Lay out a picnic blanket outside and enjoy your favourite no-cook picnic food over candlelight. You can't go wrong with a colourful cheese platter or antipasto platter.

5. Get an open fire or fire pit going, toast some marshmallows and bring back storytime. Fancy taking it up a notch? Try these irresistible campfire banana boats: a cross between a s'more and a banana split.
