News just in from the department of inspirational happenings: our friend Jacqui Fink of Little Dandelion and stylist & ceramicist Lara Hutton have collaborated to create a unique exhibition of interior still life installations inspired by the forms and textures of the sea.
This dreamy image hints at the work, which features Jacqui's bespoke textiles and Lara's ceramics as well as a series of delicate, ethereal photographs by Lara and vintage furniture she has collected. 'Every piece in the exhibition is a one off',' says Jacqui. 'We have been working to create these installations for over 12 months. Obviously we haven't made the vintage furniture but what we have done is give it new life in interesting ways.'
The exhibition will be opened by Karen McCartney, who was the aesthetic match maker for this pair. 'From the glimpses I have had of the work Lara and Jacqui have created for this exhibition I think it is going to be quite magical and very inspiring,' she says.
Sea Art runs from Friday 8 November - Saturday 16 November at Megan Morton's The School, 85 Dunning Ave Rosebery in Sydney.
