Looks from iconic Christmas films: The Holiday

Grab the popcorn and settle in for a Christmas movie marathon to escape the madness that's been this year. For a bit of festive fun, we've decided to re-create the looks of some of the memorable (and questionable) interiors of a few cult Christmas films, and our second cab off the rank is The Holiday, starring Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet, Jude Law and Jack Black.

There's no denying The Holiday has all the makings of a cult-classic Christmas movie. It's semi-ridiculous (who swaps houses with a stranger on the other side of the world for two weeks?) and incredibly predictable, but has a sweetness and charm that is no doubt due to the chemistry between the actors. While it's a bit on the longer side for a rom-com, it never fails to bring that warm Christmas feeling that only "so-bad-they're-good" movies can achieve. If you've never seen it, here's a quick recap:

Kate Winslet plays despairing society columnist Iris who, when finding out her cheating ex has recently become engaged, lists her humble English cottage on a home swap website in a bid to get away from it all. Cameron Diaz's character Amanda comes across the ad after breaking up with her (also cheating) boyfriend, and agrees to give Iris the keys to her LA mansion for the two weeks leading up to Christmas. What follows is a series of interwoven love stories when Iris's brother Graham, played by Jude Law, meets Amanda and Amanda's colleague Miles, played by Jack Black, meets Iris. It's cheesy and heartwarming in all the right ways, with a bit of self-discovery thrown in along the way.
