1. Match the style of your home

​Use your already curated style as a starting point for your decor. If your home has a rustic cottage or country house feel, complement this with wooden crates, metal watering or decorative milk cans and branches. If it has more of a coastal or Hamptons-inspired aesthetic, consider Adirondack chairs or a wooden bench dressed up with outdoor cushions.


 

2. Refresh your front door

Amp it up by displaying mini Christmas trees by your door, or dress up already existing potted trees with tinsel and ornaments. You don't have to have a green thumb either, with artificial plants having the double benefit of looking realistic and being very low maintenance. You can also fill lanterns with colourful baubles and dot these around your entrance for an extra festive touch.

Display a personalised season's greeting for your neighbours with a blackboard. Get creative and add some flair; the more personal and localised, the better!


 

 8. Use rugs to add colour

If your entryway or porch is covered, consider replacing your regular doormat, or laying it over the top of a Christmas-inspired outdoor rug or runner for a finishing touch.
