We're featuring decorative indoor plants for the green-thumb-challenged decorator. Here our Head of Styling Jessica Bellef shares her passion for green, and her favourite inspiring images from around the web.

As the temperature drops we find ourselves spending more time indoors. We turn in early and we spend longer snuggled up on the couch. Now is the perfect time to bring the outside in. It has been proven time and again that indoor plants have beneficial psychological effects, calming us, cleaning the air and helping us sleep. They bring a positive life force into the house and can help pep up any corners that need a lift. Let it be known, I Love Plant.

And if you weren't born with green thumbs? There's no need to water these guys but I am sure they will appreciate a dusting every once in a while. Even though they aren't filtering the air, the sight of greenery in your space will make you happy.

This styled moment is featured in the look book of NY object designer Farrah Sit, shot by Nicole Franzen. 'Mother-In-Law's Tongue' is a favourite of mine. The tiger striped leaves and the elongated shape help add height and pattern to an artfully arranged grouping.
