Aussie author Liane Moriarty has done it again, with her novel Nine Perfect Strangers being made into an Amazon Prime miniseries starring none other than Australian icon Nicole Kidman. The star-studded cast includes some notable homegrown talent, like Asher Keddie and Samara Weaving, as well as Hollywood's biggest names like Melissa McCarthy and Luke Evans.

If you didn't already hear about it, the production was shot in the dreamy setting of Byron Bay last year, with two locations used to re-create the luxury Californian wellness retreat from the story. To bring the idyllic but mysterious Tranquillum House to life, the producers turned to the light-filled, contemporary yoga retreat Soma Byron Bay and parts of an impressive architecturally-designed residential property known as the Lune de Sang Pavilion.

Both locations are strikingly modern buildings of concrete and timber, and offer sweeping views of the surrounding Byron hinterland. Natural materials such as rattan and raw-edged timber evoke tropical island resort vibes, which works beautifully with the minimalist polished concrete and clean lines to declutter the mind and spirit.
