The luxurious silk and velvet cushions in our Found Object feature are the result of a collaboration between brother and sister Salvo Stoch and Juditha Sakinofsky. Based in the Bronx, New York, they travel the world sourcing textiles to create products with a sense of history and meaning. The ikat fabric is from Uzbekistan, where the threads have been dyed using vegetable dyes before being woven on a narrow handloom. You can read more about their travels and latest finds on the Found Object blog, or watch this video of Juditha talking about Uzbeki textiles at the New York Gift Fair earlier this year.
