Dreamy designer bedrooms

We took a look at the shortlist for the Residential Decoration category of the Australian Interior Design Awards and picked out some dreamy bedrooms to inspire you. This lilac and grey beauty is part of an art-filled Paddington home by Greg Natale. Its feminine glamour is given an edge by the black and white geometric carpet.

This subtle, delicately toned room is by Leeton Pointon Architects and Allison Pye Interiors. Its restrained colour palette and relaxed textures are enhanced by the shafts of natural light.

This Tribeca, NY loft bedroom by Nexus Designs looks like the perfect retreat from the hectic energy of the city.

Warm wood and dark colours create a cosy cocoon in Melbourne, designed by David Hicks. Fresh flowers and a crystal lamp base add a delicate touch.

Mim Design's clients sought a contemporary look with an eclectic mix of furniture and art. The modern chair picks up the colours of the dramatic art work for a room with real punch.
