Sophie Thé is a French interior/props stylist and self-described 'lover of all things beautiful'. She is based in Sydney, where she assists super stylist Megan Morton and spends most nights aboard a yacht, the Gwenn a Du (recently featured on The Design Files.) She describes her life as 'busy, challenging and most of all a lot of fun' - here's a peek into her week. Portrait above by Sarah Williams.

SAMEDI, MARCHÉ AUX PUCES!
No matter where I am in the world, market day is my day. In Sydney, I try Rozelle Market (every Saturday and Sunday) and Surry Hills Market (first Saturday of the month) hoping to find that really special thing. But living half my life on a boat and the other half in a house, I'm often in market buying conflict.

DIMANCHE, TRAVAIL!

LUNDI SANS REPOS!

MARDI POSITION POSITION!

MERCREDI BOUFFE, BOUFFE, ET MORE BOUFFE!

JEUDI NOËL NOËL!

VENDREDI, CADEAUX!
Weirdly its September but we are shooting Christmas for The School. This year it's lovely ways to make your house crafty beautiful. Can't wait. I am going to deck Gwenn's hulls in a Mexican fiesta / passementerie party!

In the evenings I still can't believe how lucky I am to come home to this ever changing view of the water! The work we do is varied, exciting and dynamic but it's all founded in MM's quest for truth and beauty.
A French spin on Sydney style with Sophie Thé

DIMANCHE, TRAVAIL!
Mixing and matching colours for Rachel Castle never feels like work. I love working at her class, even on a Sunday, as I've never seen so many happy woman all in one room at once!

LUNDI SANS REPOS!
This is my day off but I can't help myself! So today I styled a photoshoot for my good friend Prune (also French) from Loft Furniture. Previously owner of 6 boutiques in Europe, she's decided to move back to Australia with her young family and offer French-inspired pieces for modern Australian life.

MARDI POSITION POSITION!
The best view one can get of the Opera House and the Bridge. Megan and I have worked on a lot of special atmospheres for Alex Perry but it does not get more special than under Park lady with an Etype Jag. For events we find lots of things including exceptionally good looking animals, ridiculously expensive cars and battery acid jars from Belgium.

MERCREDI BOUFFE, BOUFFE, ET MORE BOUFFE!
The medium I love to work in the most is moving pictures. We worked with a film crew on a short episode of a (yet to be released) cooking show with our food friend Michelle Schoeps Organic. We ate flowers, chicken balls, French champagne. rhubarb jelly and, best of all, chocolate-less chocolate.

JEUDI NOËL NOËL!
We are feeling the spirit of Christmas at B2 Studios for a Gourmet Traveller story. Despite all of these colours, we made such a beautiful new palette out of pale celadon green, silver, gold and bronze.
