Looking for something to keep you out of mischief? We thought as much. That's why we have rounded up a variety of workshops that will see you putting your creativity to good use...
Weaving
We first met Maryanne Moodie for her week in pictures. Good news – she's visiting from New York and hosting a workshop! This 3 hour session is aimed at intermediate weavers. Learn how to finish your weaves with finesse and aspire to make pieces that are unique.

Ceramic Bowl Painting
The jist of this one is that self-taught artist, Bonnie Hislop, provides one of her adorable ceramic bowls, and you're allowed to run riot with paints. Sounds like a hoot, right? You can also learn about basic processes, and in two weeks time collect your very own ceramic piece.
When: 19th March
Where: Brisbane

Block Printing
We're big fans of Megan Morton's The School – a creative hub that plays hosts to a number of talented individuals and provides a space for their tutelage. This workshop hosted by Joanna Fowles sees participants create their own set of napkins and a tea towel. Apparently it's very addictive and a lot of fun. We believe it!
When: 13th March

Leathercraft
Katie Engelhardt from Studio Libelling hosts an introductory course in leather working. Walk away from the day with your own custom made belt, some extra knowledge and a take home kit. Loose jeans will never trouble you again.

Ceramics
Co-owner of Guild of Objects, Chela Edmunds is the small batch potter behind Takeawei. Over two nights, you'll make up to 3 forms (plates, bowls, mugs) that will be bisque fired. On the second evening, decorate your vessels.

Extreme Knitting
Fibre Artist Jacqui Fink is another longtime favourite at Temple & Webster. In this workshop, you'll knit a 3 metre long scarf from high grade Australian Merino wool. Disclaimer: this is probably not the sort of knitting your Grandma does, unless your Grandma is really, really cool.
When: 23rd July

Flower Arranging
Love flowers, but not sure how to arrange them? Bloom College offer a course that covers different vases and how best to address them. Learn about different vessel shapes plus tips from the floristry industry. At the end of the day, you'll take home a lovely arrangement.

Candle Making
We all love candles. Especially Elise. Elise Pioch Balzac is the French-born mastermind behind Maison Balzac. In one of her workshops, you'll pour your very own candles using Elise's hand mixed scents. Simply bring your own jar, ceramic pot or tumbler. The candle makes for a great gift, too!
