3 looks for summer outdoor style

As the season of outdoor living, summer is the perfect time to refresh your backyard, balcony or patio. Here, we show you how to bring boho, modern country and Palm Springs flair to your outdoor space with curations inspired by some of the hottest weekend spots around Australia.

Palm Springs

Originating in the sunny Californian city, a Palm Springs aesthetic is perfect for our outdoor Australian lifestyle. Recently opened rooftop bar Marrickville Springs nails the look here in Sydney by contrasting its bright white backdrop against the fun pops of colour Palm Springs decor is known for. Try it at home by accessorising your outdoor space with vibrant side tables, tropical wall art and hanging planter pots brimming with succulents—a great way to incorporate greenery into a light-filled balcony space. When it comes to entertaining, pastel dinnerware suits Palm Springs style to a tee.

Modern Country

We can't get enough of modern country style: a timeless choice that links the best of now and then, maintaining the inviting comforts of traditional country decor with the streamlined approach of contemporary design. Love the idea of refreshing your outdoor space with raw timber benches, ambient festoon lighting and a cast iron fire pit that your friends and family can gather around? Modern country is for you. Take your cues from Cupitt's Estate, a winery, brewery and fromagerie on the NSW South Coast that has just opened the doors to 10 modern self-contained units that overlook the sprawling estate.

Bohemian

Step straight into a boho paradise by renting the Happy Campers Co campervan for a road trip along the stunning Western Australian coastline! If you can't make it to WA, incorporate the same carefree elements into your abode by layering natural textures and gypset prints in a mix of neutral and warm shades. Relaxed structure speaks to the easy-breezy nature of bohemian style, so why not string up a hammock to create a tranquil nook for downtime in nature? Bamboo lanterns will bring a boho feel to your space when the sun goes down.
