2021 Christmas trends to try

Make it a Christmas to remember with some of the latest looks and experiences for this year.

Slim and sparse Christmas trees

There are many advantages to having artificial Christmas trees, but one of the main ones is being able to choose a size and shape that suits the space that you have available in your home. Given how space is such a commodity, there are now more options for compact Christmas trees such as our Slim Aspen Fir, LED twig trees, as well as, for something a little different, tropical gold and silver potted trees.

Tree skirts

Conceal unsightly tree stands and bases with a tree skirt, the hottest skirt to have this summer. This year, we're offering woven tree skirts (62cm tree skirt or 74cm tree skirt) made from water hyacinth in brown, natural and white, which will work beautifully for that earthy Christmas or Australiana look, speaking of which…

Earthy and Australiana Christmas

Apart from decor made from natural materials for a more organic look, expect to see Australian natives make more presence in the way of eucalyptus Christmas wreaths and gum leaf branches, as well as retro Aussie and nostalgic decor. Brown paper, fabric and reusable cloth gift bags are also fantastic alternative wrappers for presents as a move towards a more eco-friendly festive season.

Jewel tones and pastels

Instead of traditional reds, greens and golds, you can look forward to burnished berry tones, peacock blues and deep greens for a more sophisticated and dramatic Christmas palette. Those looking for more muted tones will enjoy the trend towards pastel shades such as soft pinks and pistachio greens.

Even more sparkle

Given the year it's been, we could all do with more sparkle in our lives whether it's an extra set of fairy lights on the tree, a convenient pre-lit tree or a frosted Christmas tree for added shimmer.

Experiential gifts

The past year has certainly emphasised the importance of family, friends and social gatherings, and we can expect to see more experiential and interactive gifts such as DIY craft kits, puzzles and games, outdoor toys and games, travel accessories, camping equipment and purchases for activities that encourage some off-the-grid togetherness.
