Flora Nakamarra Brown was born in 1963 in Yuendumu, a remote aboriginal community in Northern Territory, into a family of well-known Warlpiri artists.. Flora grew up in Yuendumu, attended the local school, and later got married. In 2017, she began her painting journey, focusing on her mother's Mina Mina Jukurrpa (Mina Mina Dreaming - Ngalyipi). A significant women's dreaming site near Yuendumu and Nyirripi. These ancestral stories were passed down to her by her mother and grandmother. Flora passionately shares, "I love my Mina Mina story." When Floraâ??s not painting, or looking after her grandchildren, she likes to â??sometimes go hunting for kangarooâ??.
