Mina Mina Jukurrpa VII Canvas Art Print - A wonderfully intricate Aboriginal artwork that features waves of colour-blocked lines in shades of rich, vibrant blue contrasted against warm browns. The lines are separated by perfectly placed white dots in this divine piece inspired by the Mina Mina Dreaming.
This Aboriginal artwork depicts the story of the women that danced in celebrations of the 'mulju' (Summer rains) at the Mina Mina, a very important women's Dreaming site in the Northern Territory of Australia, while collecting 'karlangu' (digging sticks).
Their journey took them to far lands across the Northern Territory - from the west to the east of Yuendumu - creating many places as they went, while dancing, digging, and collecting many ceremonial elements, such as 'parraja' carrying vessels made from 'ngalyipi', the snake vine that grows on the desert oak tree known as 'kurrkara'. The Napangardi women embraced the opportunity to be with one another, and when they stopped, they delighted in bush tucker from the area, like the delicious desert truffle 'jintiparnta'. The Dreaming track eventually took them far beyond Warlpiri country, into Queensland.
In Warlpiri paintings, traditional iconography is used to represent the Jukurrpa and other elements. In many paintings of this Jukurrpa, sinuous lines are used to represent the 'ngalyipi' (snake vine). Concentric circles are often used to represent the 'jintiparnta' (desert truffles) that the women have collected, while straight lines can be used to depict the 'karlangu' (digging sticks).

Reviews
In my bedroom
Beautiful but hanging rope is on sideways. So difficult for me to fix.
Beautiful canvas, striking blues.
The process to order was easy. Love the print!
Gorgeous!!!
Stunning print - you must get the largest size. It's in my office and visitors touch it expecting to feel the painted dots. Beautiful artwork and exceptional quality! My only disappointment was finding the string on the back attached sideways but this was easily fixed before hanging.
This is a great painting - go big if you can for it’s real impact [smile]
