Our Entries & Hallways board on Pinterest has over 14,000 followers (thank you!) so we decided to pull out the most popular pins (leaving out those we've featured here previously) and put them together to see whether a dominant style emerged. The mix reveals eclectic tastes from minimal and modern to highly decorative. Here they are, roughly in order of popularity...
Our most repinned image is all over Pinterest, to the point that we can't find the original source. The narrow reclaimed timber table makes sense in a hallway, but the overscale glass vessels and branches make the space feel expansive. It's a little intriguing - the styling suggests a relaxed, light style but there's also a wall heater we'd expect to see in a cold climate. Ah, the mysteries of Pinterest.
LA-based blogger and designer Sarah Sherman Samuel's entryway reveals both the natural colour and textures of woven raffia and a white sheepskin and clever styling devices including a geometric vessel to tie in the large octagonal mirror hanging above the console.
On to something a little less minimal and modern, via a San Francisco home featured in Lonny magazine. The owner Susan Greenleaf, an interior designer, laid herringbone floors slightly unevenly in a deliberate attempt to add character. A reclaimed timber table and twin foxed mirrors add to the semblance of age.
Next up, a gallery wall by Brisbane-based interior designer Anna Spiro, layered with her trademark blue & white china and coastal elements.
Classic architectural details in inky blue and crisp white set a rather grand tone in a New York apartment captured by Kinfolk magazine, but the family-friendly bench and shoe collection make this feel achievable.
Another practical entryway makes the most of natural finds including antlers, timber walking sticks and blossom. A round mirror makes impact.
Cute dog, people. We totally get it. But it's also a great example of creating a practical entryway in a small space. See the rest of this Minneapolis apartment on Design Sponge.
A comfortable chair adds a relaxed air to this light-filled entry, with an eclectic collection of vintage items imbuing charm. Make a note of that painted floor feature, too. See the rest of this gorgeous Tasmanian home at Homelife.
The decorative wallpaper sets the scene for simple furniture and décor with several yellow accents providing interest.

Neutrals are the hero in this angled hallway, with a rug and textured wall hanging to make the space warm and welcoming - if that cute dog wasn't enough!
