Last week, we pushed ourselves to the very limits of Pinterest-over-exposure by reviewing all the wonderful entries in our competition to kickstart a creative career with a place at iscd, the International School of Colour & Design. It wasn't easy, but together with iscd we've narrowed the field to 5 finalists, and wanted to give you a glimpse into each of their ideal summer homes.
Elizabeth Fox's board features spare, modern furniture, cool neutrals and metallic accents. She includes everything from wallpaper and rugs to a silver grey labrador and a dashing husband (Gerard Butler, no less!)

Larissa Raywood's board illustrates her 'chic beach shack', filled with turquoise accents, shells, rope and natural textures.

Nicole Fitzgerald's board conveys a tightly edited and more formal summer home - in her words "the freshness of summer with green, the crispness and minimalism often seen with the colour white, and the modernism and simplicity black brings to design."

Michaela Brown's board describes her ideal beach home eloquently: "White wash and natural light, soft petals and splashes of colour. Bare legs and hanging chairs, herb gardens and jugs of Pimms!" We love the chalky whites and neutrals.

Kylie Shadlow's board describes her ideal summer home as having '"calm, cool interiors and exteriors with a rustic twist." She did well staying on her self-imposed brief, with rustic details definitely a common theme.

Look out for the announcement of our first and second prize winners shortly...
