Sneak Peek - Artisan Magazine Issue 6

Last week we introduced Artisan Magazine, an iPad magazine with a focus on the local, personal and unique. The latest issue has just gone live, and we asked founders Natalie Hunfalvay, Leigh-Ann Thomas and Bhavani Konings for a sneak peek.

In Issue 6 we provide a range of stories on interesting artisans who design and handcraft their products with passion. We visit a Sydney based jewellery maker whose latest collection is inspired by the origins of jewels looking to pieces worn in Ancient Greek and Egyptian times.

We explore the workshop and showroom behind producers of handcrafted and bespoke timber furniture. Their work is sourced with sustainable materials and built to last.

A story on whole foods reminds us that being thoughtful about what we eat can be beneficial to our minds and bodies. A trip to Canberra takes us to Mocan and Green Grout, an ethical café that serves up tasty foods handpicked from their own garden. Cook a few delicious, healthy and easy to make recipes.

Lastly we offer two thought-provoking pieces on holistic health and community food. Taking the time to become aware and appreciate your surroundings offers a new way of looking at our bodies and health. A holistic approach invites us to recognise the various ways that communities can come together and share in the knowledge of food production.
