Stylist and author Mr Jason Grant is something of an authority on sunny Australian style. His two books, A Place Called Home and Holiday at Home are showcasing his aesthetic around the world. His aesthetic is unforced, colourful and light-filled, evocative of the laid back coastal lifestyle he lives in Sydney's Bondi. His approach to Christmas is similarly simple and casual...
My kind of Christmas is: simple, relaxed and all about food and friends. Nothing too fussy...
My advice for pre-Christmas parties is: It’s a hectic time of year with lots of fabulous invitations, so pace yourself - dont be that person that everyone remembers for the wrong reason!
On Christmas Day I’ll be: sleeping in - it’s a tradition!
My top tip for Christmas decorating is: Have a colour palette for the tree and the table. Keep it simple and limit it to perhaps a maximum of three colours – I’m not a fan of an OTT Christmas.
This year I’m buying: Beach towels, candles, and a stand up paddle board.
I secretly hope someone gives me: a stand up paddle board!
After Christmas I’ll be seeing: the new Star Wars film The Force Awakens again and again and again...
My best #lifehack for Christmas time is: dont get consumed. Christmas can get stressful, so be organised and prepared and dont get too carried away.
