The judges of the Australian Interior Design Awards have spoken. The winner of the Residential Decoration category is ... Melbourne-based interior design firm Atticus & Milo for their "Huntingtower" project in Hawthorn. We featured the sitting room of this home in an earlier post, and a few more images are below. The judges admired the way a "skilful, eclectic overlay of art, artefacts, furnishings and fabrics" had been added to a Victorian house to create a home with real personality.

There were two commendations - Sydney-based Greg Natale for his immaculate apartment in The Astor, Sydney and Bates Smart for a warm, inviting display suite at the Convesso Concavo development in Melbourne. Feast your eyes on these examples of beautiful, considered design. No dodgy paint jobs, K-mart curtains or hastily home-made items to be seen (yes The Block, I'm talking to you!)
