Apart from decking the halls with boughs of holly, here's how to style your console table in your hallway or entryway to set the tone for guests as soon as they walk through the door. 

1. Add a wreath

Just because you've already hung a wreath on your front door doesn't mean you can't have another one in the hallway. Try a different style or play with different sizes and colour combinations. Shop Christmas wreaths now. 

2. Display wall art

Hang a piece of wall art at eye level on the wall above your console or lean it against the wall. It's a great way to anchor your arrangement and create interest at a different height.

Fresh flowers or foliage in a pretty vase always make an entrance grander. Consider coloured glass or metal for extra shimmer.

4. Layer different decor
