5 florists to follow on Instagram

Editor Danielle Oppermann shares her picks of Australian florists to follow for Instagram inspiration, whether you're working with fresh blooms in season or creating an arrangement using our pretty faux floral collection,

Is your Instagram feed wall-to-wall interiors, a series of #dogsofinstagram or a relentless flow of other people’s café breakfasts and cronuts? A little floral eye candy breaks things up nicely, and it's also a great way to find inspiration for your own arrangements. Here are five of my favourite local flower folk to follow.

The first to hit my feed and still the favourite is @mivioleta – Myra Perez of Sydney’s My Violet goes big on colour and drama.

Not exactly local anymore, but Australian floral stylist Simone Gooch is now taking on London one bloom at a time with @fjura_.

A scroll through @grandiflora_sydney’s feed is the next best thing to stopping by Saskia Havekes’ Potts Point Grandiflora store in person to drink in the always-stunning window installations.

Holly Hipwell of The Flower Drum always has something vibrant and playful to share on her feed at @theflowerdrum, on her blog and at hands-on workshops.

Melbourne’s Fleur McHarg shares everything from pretty posies to event installations on @thestudiobyfleur, the account for her (unsurprisingly) eponymous Melbourne studio.
