5 Australian artists to follow on Instagram

Start your week with a burst of inspiration, thanks to these 5 Australian painters who share their talent via Instagram. The light-filled painting above is by Michael Muir.

As a former winner of the Archibald Prize, Doug Moran Portrait Prize and Wynne Prizes, among many others, Guy Maestri is hardly an unknown talent. He shares his richly layered and powerful 'road kill' portraits on Instagram, along with the occasional glimpse into his plein air painting set up. Follow him @guy_maestri.
