I needed a rug to go under my desk chair as it was damaging my carpet. This rug has the right thickness to protect my carpet. Just be aware that because of the tufted wool fabric, the colour looks a bit different (flatter, not vibrant) in person compared to the online image. The site notes that due to lighting etc this may occur, so I can't fault them for it, but it's worth keeping in mind. Overall, it's a good quality piece and I'm happy with it.
