Yirringarni is one of the Tiwi traditional vegetation classifications meaning billabong, swamp or waterhole. Waterholes are the principal source of life in the outback & form sacred sites where people meet for physical & spiritual sustenance. They are both social & sacred sites for Aboriginal communities & the rivers & gullies that link them form natural pathways for people to travel between them. Connected waterholes are one of the most common symbols in Aboriginal art.

Reviews
Looks fabulous. Stunning colours. Great quality print and framing.
Looks really great
Put this in a darker hallway and it adds some depth to this space making it feel warmer
Excellent l9oks good where I have it.
Looks ok. I was hoping to see more of the natural dots you would see on an original artist painting
Love this canvas print it fits perfectly in my kitchen. it was difficult to find a canvas that was long and thin that was not a landscape picture. I have actually ordered a second one to place next to this one to covet the majority of the space. This one is just perfect and artist statement about the piece being about the connection of waterholes suits the kitchen.
It's perfect! It's even more beautiful than the picture I'm so pleased by this purchase [misc_pict]
Beautiful complex picture; would be nice to have a little explanation about it's meaning.
Definitely a center piece in the lounge area, and we will have to acquire another Aboriginal painting to complement this beautiful piece.
Great product, and this was our second purchase, we love shopping at Temple and Webster!
