Yirringarni is one of the Tiwi traditional vegetation classifications meaning billabong, swamp or waterhole. Waterholes are the principal source of life in the outback & form sacred sites where people meet for physical & spiritual sustenance. They are both social & sacred sites for Aboriginal communities & the rivers & gullies that link them form natural pathways for people to travel between them. Connected waterholes are one of the most common symbols in Aboriginal art.

Reviews
Gorgeous print and the frame is good quality.
Beautiful artwork, goes with the colours in our lounge room. Good service from Temple and Webster.
Very happy with this painting. Placed it above my bed above the Temple and Webster rattan bed head. Looks great.
We’ve been looking for a piece of indigenous art for years and when we saw this we knew it was the right piece. The story of waterholes and vegetation and importance of land and country spoke to us … and the colours bring all our furnishings together.
I love this canvas. It looks like the paint is still fresh with a gloss finish. The colours are not too bright, but the picture just seems to pop. A very eye catching piece.
Lovely quality and a beautiful, subtle print with a lovely story. Fits perfectly above my mantle and compliments my space really well.
Looks awesome get lots of compliments
