Tempering process
Tempered glass is made by heating glass up to 600°C then rapidly cooling it with high-pressure air in a procedure known as quenching. This causes the glass to go into compression, making it stronger and much less breakable than regular glass. It's also easy to clean.

Looks nice from a distance but the quality was very disappointing. I expected from the description that the base would be fibreglass cement or similar however, it’s more like MFD covered in contact paper. There’s no chance this will stand the test of time. |
