Veda 700GSM Goose Feather & Down Quilt

The smell is bad… I initially aired it out in my lounge room for 24 hours, and then my home smelt like a barnyard. There was no way I could bring a girl home that night 😔 and it is thick… you can taste it. the smell will get on your skin and clothes and you’ll notice it after getting whiffs occasionally. It’s not until you are at work and you start to hear people asking if there are farm animals in the office 😅 I finally did 3 long intensive delicate/silk washes with a gentle detergent, and lastly a water only long wash to make sure no detergent was left and aired dried it in a warm non direct sun area, I then did an air only setting on the dryer with dryer balls. 🎾 unfortunately this doona cannot be used, as soon as I pulled it out of the box feathers 🪶 were everywhere, my air purifier hates this doona too as it emits to much into the air every time I handle it, I didn’t use it in the end because I simply don’t want that on me when sleeping. It’s also a red flag if a goose down doona or any bedding smells like this and feathers leak. Ultra low quality unfortunately.

Not finished product, good quality but some threads were undone, minor damage. Probably returned by someone and didn’t go through a quality check before shipping. I ordered it for my airbnb and guests wouldn’t know, but if I had to use it, I’d have returned it.
