Torsby Office Writing Desk

This desk is fantastic! It looks lovely. It does seem to scratch easily, but it is very functional. However, assembly was difficult - the instructors for the desk sliders is incorrect, so I'd recommend watching a youtube video.

Love this desk. The colour and quality are fabulous. It's heavy and solid and is a great size for my home office- plenty of room on the desktop.

Really sturdy desk in a beautiful colour, lovely tabletop with generous space for work and hobbies at the same time. Mix of wood and MDF+veneer seem good quality. Lost a star for finicky steps to build drawers, instructions became unclear and had to pull apart and redo both drawers a couple times as pre-drilled holes did not align or allow the drawers to close. After some cuts, much sweating, and agreeing to never speak of this drawer-building-ordeal again, they seem to be sorted and working.

I’d consider myself a flat pack pro, but this was a tricky one to assemble. The instructions for the drawers in particular were very unclear. Once assembled the desk itself seems really sturdy but the drawers feel cheap, flimsy and don’t close smoothly at all. For the price I was pretty disappointed. Also the colour - I ordered walnut but it is so much redder in person than it was in the photos on the website. Unfortunately I didn’t check the colour in my space before assembling the desk so it was too late to return it, otherwise I would have.

Looks great. As pictured. Slimline and screws on side are not obtrusive. Drawers are hard to use and feel clunky and never feel like they are closing properly. Given the price this is a good purchase, but would be concerned if you were using the drawers on a regular basis which I am not.

The desk looks great and is just the right size . It was a bit fiddly to put together but worth the effort.

Great desk for my needs. Looks good in the room. Instructions for putting it together were frustrating at times. And the drawer sliders had already been put together, so I had to work out how to get them apart before I could fit them! As I say, frustrating. And even now I will have to fiddle with one of the drawers as it’s not sitting straight.

The desk delivered with a reasonable time and packaging. Easy to assemble. Issue is the top timber surface which is bowed in the middle, so it’s not level and everything on it sits crooked.

Looks great and sturdy, would look better if the wood grain effect was on the top as well.

Just what I needed. A bit tricky to put together- I definitely needed my ottoman to enable height and ability to turn easily when putting together. The drawer runners have to go a certain way which was unclear in the instructions.

Really pretty and elegant desk, perfect for what I wanted. Love having a bit of storage with the drawers. It took a couple of hours to assemble and the drawers were tricky as some of the holes were drilled in the wrong spot, took me ages to figure it out and get them to line up properly (maybe another hour on top of assembly time) but now that it’s done I love it :)

This desk is quite the flatpack. - It’s not just a half hour job putting it together. But it looks quite nice when it’s done, and looks and feels high quality. However two issues - the holes for the drawer runners are in the wrong place and the drawers ended up sticking out a but further than they should - not a lot, but enough to be just a little bit annoying. Also the distance from the bottom of the drawers to the floor is a bit tight to comfortably fit under the desk (at least with the non-height adjustable chair that I am using).

I bought this beautiful desk purely on looks but also found it to be extremely solid and sturdy. Assembly was easy and took around 45 minutes. Its now my favourite piece of furniture in my home

I downsized my office desk as I wanted something a bit more minimalist and it is perfect! Clean, sleek and paired with the office chair (also from Temple and Webster)- it is the perfect combination!

Once it’s built it looks expensive and feels very high quality. But we purchased 2 and the drawer holes were all in the incorrect spots, so if you’re not a little handy, you’ll struggle to build this
