About the Designer
Lia Porto
Born in Patagonia, Argentina, Lia moved to Buenos Aires where she graduated as a lawyer and worked for several years, but art had such a powerful attraction on her that she switched from writings to brushes. She trained in painting and in engraving. Her work is characterized by her “industriousness” and complexity, with organic images and various focal points. Glazes, layers of color, lines and dots, weave a strange world, both natural and artificial, that awakens the imagination of the spectator.
