Robin 8 Drawer Chest

Do I regret purchasing these? Yes, yes I do. We spent 7 HOURS yesterday putting these together. I even have blisters on my hands from the screwdriver, and I have a drumming gig this weekend, so that'll make things fun. Anyway, about the drawers.. they look fine, from a distance. Up close the quality is terrible, the MDF it's made from is not dense, and quite crumbly, so I don't expect longevity. The wood-looking part is just a thin sticker-like paper over mdf, so you can't even get them wet or clean them with a wet cloth. The draws are functional, in that they open and close, but I bought this to replace a smaller, 4 draw another competitor unit, and despite taking up more room in the closet, I wasn't able to get the same amount of clothes in these and now I have nowhere to put a bunch of extra, essential clothing. The draws are SMALL. The unit is big and tedious to put together. I'm tired, and sore from building them, and instead of solving the storage problem, they created more. Also, just be warned, there's a sticker on them saying not to put a TV on top of them, so if you're buying them for that reason, pick something else. If you like how they look, aren't too concerned with longevity, and aren't desperate for somewhere to store your things, these might be fine for you. If not, keep looking, folks. This ain't it. I'm sure I'm not going to win any prizes for leaving this review, but I wish I would so I could replace this and not have to face my regret every morning when I'm digging for clean undies.

This is perfect for my needs. Would give it 5 stars except that a couple of the pieces had the holes for the screws in the wrong spot. We had to drill extra holes to complete it. Otherwise, it's a fantastic piece of furniture.

Was also missing the screw covers for the outside of the piece and at least one piece of dowel was not the correct length but managed to make it work as it was a bday present for my son. Drawers are very small but overall it looks good and my child is happy with it.

It took me a long time to put together but I have terrible concentration on a good day. The instructions were probably the clearest I have ever had which I appreciated and I did it by myself. My one piece of advice is to use a drill, it made it so much easier. This is the first piece of furniture I have made I haven't had to pull apart for putting someone on the wrong way. I really love these and they are exactly what I expected and I'm really happy with it.
