"Indigenous Aboriginal peoples have a knowledge of country like no other, a knowledge given to us by our Elders. Able to pick up changes in weather, surroundings, vegetation, animal movements. The connection to country is something that cannot be explained, only felt.
This artwork is an abstract representation of country - a metaphor of the knowledge we have as Aboriginal people and the way we are able to read the land's language, live from it, and care - whilst to others, it is a language unknown."
