I'd have to agree with other comments. This one is certainly not for the faint-hearted and has so many components that it's worth getting the power tools out to speed up the assembly. The instructions are non-existent for key steps (e.g. attaching the locking mechanism) and pilot holes are missing when they're most needed, including attaching the desk top. I'd strongly recommend saving yourself some time by determining the correct position, tracing the location on the underside and then flipping the desk top and legs so that you're able to apply some control and pressure. The drill helps here as well. All of that said, it's worth the effort for those who are confident with assembly. The desk looks great and the components are all superb quality, including the super-soft drawer mechanisms. It's not a 15 minute assembly job, but it doesn't look like one either and the pain is already a distant memory.

This desk turned out really great. I was a bit nervous to buy it and risk poorly assembling it after reading all the reviews but it wasn't too bad at all. The timber look is a little too laminate looking than I'd like but I still really love how it turned out.

The desk is lovely, however the instructions for assembly, labelling of parts and pre-drilled holes are absolutely terrible. I'm a pretty smart girl so have managed to get it all together, but had I known I would have been flying alone on my own intuition, I most likely would not have given myself the stress. Affixing the actual desk top itself requires a degree in contortion, not to mention spirit levels and measurement perfection - otherwise it is crooked and looks terrible. Note: there are not pre-drilled holes in the actual desk top, so it's every man or girl for themselves.
