Artisan tradition
The rug is carefully loomed by hand out of a composition of 46% wool and 54% jute, forming a tufted pile of two different materials and creating a lovely textural feel underfoot.

This rug has freshened up our space and anchored the room nicely. It took me a day or so to get used to the different colour and texture to what was there previously, but now I am very happy with how it looks and it is quite soft underfoot. The natural fibre smell is fading as it has now been a week and it is shedding little fibres slightly but I believe this will reduce over time. I vapourised some essential oils in the room for a couple of days as the subtle smell initially emerged (previous reviews shared this was to be expected). Initially as I unrolled the rug I was a little concerned with the quality as there were a few very dark pieces of sisal/seagrass which seemed to be slightly decayed (not of the same quality with which the majority of the rug was made) so I carefully removed these strands to not only ensure the aesthetics of the rug was more consistent (as these were very dark, almost black compared to the beige colour of the rest of the sisal) but also they were loose and I didn't want my kids pulling it and causing the rug to fall apart. The delivery was prompt and we now have a softer rug and hopefully more durable rug than the pure sisal rug that it replaced.

Perfect purchase for our tropical home. Bought the small for the dining area and the large for the lounge area. Once rolled out and in place, “packaging/jute” smell disappeared quickly. Removed a couple of small loose/hard jute fibres with my nail scissors so I could walk on the rug barefoot. Really happy with the light warm tones and compliments the rest of the room decor

It’s a nice rug and we’ve put it under our coffee table in the living. The fibres are taking a while to stop from flying away but I’m guessing it will improve as we vacuum. It is important to note that it’s soft underfoot but not the most comfortable thing to sit on if you like hanging around the coffee table as it’s a bit rough on your direct skin contact. |

Totally exceeded my expectations! It’s such a lush texture and super bouncy underfoot. My family choose to stretch out on the rug rather than the couch half the time, so it’s a very comfortable upgrade for our family room. It’s a beautiful, warm neutral tone with soft grey variations- so it works well to improve the look of our dated grey carpet. Super happy with this purchase.
