Wood finish is very different to the images pictured. In reality it's much less orange in tone and no where near as matt and natural looking. Quite glossy, beige and faux in comparison. I regret assembling it and should have returned it right away but was desperate to set the kids up in their room after moving house. Lesson learned! It's a solid bed otherwise in terms of structure, in particular the ladder, and is a good height.

Very nice and sturdy bunk beds only thing I don't like is the beds could've been a bit longer as you cannot tuck the doona in at the ends. To make the bed you have to take the mattress off the bunk put the sheets on and then put the mattress back up. So either way slightly bigger bed or a slightly smaller mattress.
