The bar cart looks great. It looks exactly like the photos and really does bring the space together how I envisioned it. But the surfaces are just mirrors with virtually no support underneath so I always feel a little nervous putting things down on it, especially when I've had a couple of drinks, which I hadn't considered much before buying it. I dont know if I had assumed the mirrored surface was going to be securely attached to a metal base with a permanent adhesive, but its 2 regular mirrors attached with suction cups to some little metal tabs. And those mirrors are a real pain to put in and a bigger pain to take back out. It took 2 of us 20 minutes and a ridiculous amount of effort and body contortion to take the loose glass pieces back out. The glass also rattles a lot when you move it so it's risky to actually use the cart for its intended purpose of wheeling things around. There are breaks on 2 of the wheels but they're pretty flimsy and only on 1 side so if your floor is even slightly sloped forget this staying exactly where you put it. I bought this almost a year ago and there's still hardly a scratch on it but I think thats mostly because I'm so nervous about how easily I could break it that I've barely gone near it. |
