While this will certainly do what I intended, it is not what I was expecting. I must admit I didn't really know what "fir wood" was so being from Australia was quite shocked at how flimsy it was and it feels like balsa wood. It is very light weight and would certainly not hold up in outdoor conditions. I have painted mine white and it serves its purpose but would not recommend for quality.
