I was really disappointed with this rug. From the day we started using it, it has shed an unbelievable amount of fibre. I understand that some natural fibre rugs can shed initially, but this is far beyond what I would consider normal. No matter how many times we vacuum it, the shedding never decreases. Every single vacuum fills the canister with fibres, yet the rug continues shedding just as heavily afterwards. We've followed the recommended care instructions and vacuumed it consistently, but there has been absolutely no improvement. The fibres don't just stay around the rug; they end up throughout our entire house, settling in every room and corner. It's become a constant battle to keep the house clean, and we're vacuuming far more often than we should have to. At this point, we've decided we can no longer keep the rug because the excessive shedding has created what we believe is an unhealthy living environment. It's simply not practical to own a rug that continuously releases this much fibre. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this product. It has created far more cleaning and frustration than enjoyment, and it has not met our expectations for quality.

Great rug, not too much shedding. The raised areas might be a concern for people who have mobility issues as it makes the rug uneven heights but it works well for my spare room.
