A perfectly oval plate in a really great size for serving platters of entrees, main course options or desserts. It is just the right size to be able to plate a sufficient amount of food for your guests while being narrow enough that it doesn’t take up too much space in the middle of your table and so allowing for more dishes to be placed around it. Or more oval platters - I have three and find they work really well together while looking beautiful particularly as part of the whole Noritake Gold Hampshire dinner setting.

Elegant, looks great on the table, dish washer proof, but I would have liked it just a wee bit larger. Using the platter a dip bowl on it doesn't leave much room, but for nibbles it's ideal.
