Gisela Hand-Tufted Wool Rug

I’ve spent countless hours on the search for the perfect wool rug for my bedroom and decided to get this one. I am so glad that I did because it is fantastic quality, properly woven/knotted together rather than a cheaper glued on mat that I saw on other rug more than double the price. I was in love with a similar texture wool rug from another specialty site where it was 4-5x the price that I even went to see in person but the texture, finish and loft of wool is comparable. Only difference is that they had the overlocked edges. People warned about the amount of shedding that comes with a wool rug but honestly it hasn’t been bad at all so far and that’s because it’s been knotted rather than glued. When I rub the carpet with my hands it doesn’t make a fluffball it only has very fine short bristles that appear, give it a vacuum not a big deal. It’s soft and comfortable even though we’ve had it for less than 24 hours we are sitting on the floor of the bedroom a lot to hang out, in fact I’m sitting on it right now. Usually I’m quite fussy about textures and sensitive skin but I find it soft and plush. It’s a really thick rug it basically straightened itself out overnight and it’s heavy enough that we didn’t use an underlay and it’s staying in place (granted the bed is an anchor) Colours are exactly the shade depicted online for the brown and beige - the cream sections are very similar to the beige though because it’s actually striped cream and grey in that part. Expect the rug overall to be brown and a natural undyed wool creamy yellow tone rather than a bright cream or white. Highly recommend this rug and I would trust other rugs from this company in future. So happy with the quality at a fraction of cost ones I’ve seen in person which were actually way worse (super flimsy glued on, thin with washed out colours)
