Ergohuman Ultra Mesh Office Chair

Easy to set-up. Very comfortable to sit on. The only annoyance were the arm rests which are flimsy and are retracting by themselves if not locked in correctly. Meaning, there are times when your elbows are resting on the arm rests and they will just retract to its lowest setting. To lock them in place you have to carefully adjust, hear and count the "ticks" of the locks as you pull them upward. Even then if you accidentally tug on an arm rest upward it will cause the inner contraption to unlock and it will drop down. Would have been 5 stars if there was a small lever instead that locks the arm rests into place. I also did not know that there was an option to get a chair with a leg rest but it would have been nice if I got that one. I also wish the lumbar support was adjustable. I am 180cm and 101kg and this chair is holding up. I'll see and update this review if the chair still does well long term. So far I am liking this chair which was a huge upgrade from another competitor.

Customisation options are good, mesh is highly breathable which has helped through summer months. Headrest is not removable unless you buy an additional replacement part. I’ve made use of the tilt feature more than I was expecting, really comfy to put your feet up (a version does come wirh a leg rest and I believe can be bought separately) and lay back while gaming. The mechanisms to raise the armrests can be a bit annoying if you use them to shift your position and accidentally pull up. It resets back to the lowest setting.

( like the armrest, some of the image show a bendable version. The actual armrest isn't capable of bending. I purchased this chair to replace an older version of it which broke after ten years. Turns out the broken part was just a bolt, still in stock with another competitor so now I have two. Note: these are not lounge chairs into which you can pour yourself. They are ergonomic chairs which do indeed provide support where it's needed and allow an enormous range of adjustment and movement. They are uncomfortable if you want to sit like a slob - which is a good thing, as they're helping you to remember to adopt a good posture. I love these chairs and would handily recommend them to anyone who spends long hours in front of a screen.

This is the third Ergohuman Plus Elite V2 chair I've purchased from Temple & Webster. It used to be an exceptional, high-quality chair at a competitive price, but sadly, that’s no longer the case. The manufacturer has drastically reduced the quality of this product, and while it’s not completely terrible (hence the 2 stars), it’s worth nowhere near the price tag anymore. This model is now more in line with a ~$150 alternative Here’s the rundown of issues: -Cheap plastic has replaced much of the original steel construction. -The reclining mechanism, once a sturdy lever, is now a flimsy, multupurpose plastic component that feels like it could snap any moment. -The locking mechanisms for the armrests and back adjustments are no longer solid physical locks but cheap sliding plastic pieces. -The armrests themselves are now low-quality foam with significantly less support. -The mesh is lower quality and is less supportive And it doesn’t stop there. What’s worse, at the time of this review, Temple & Webster’s website still shows outdated 3D models, videos, and multiple images of the original higher-quality version of this chair. This is blatantly misleading because what you’ll receive is the inferior version. Do yourself a favor: skip this chair and reconsider Temple & Webster altogether.

This is the most comfortable mesh chair I've used so far, while I've previously owned a mesh chair double the price. The comfort is great, and you have lots of adjustments to dial exactly how you want to sit. The lower back support at first glance looks harsh, but being able to adjust its tension makes it great. The armrests have the perfect amount of resistance so they don't move too much on their own while being softer and more kind to your elbows than other chairs. So far, no squeaks or creeks from the chair but its probably too early to tell. The build quality is really good. While this chair isn't the flashiest in the looks department, it's definitely the most comfortable chair I've used, and decently priced.

Extremely heavy and sturdy. This is not a flimsy plastic thing - it is worth the money and will last a very long time. Just removing a star because it was so heavy that you need two people to assemble it (and, in my case, carry the package upstairs). I had to open it downstairs and take up each major piece separately. Once assembled though, it’s very good.

The chair is really strong and of great built quality. I didn't quite expect it to be this good. It's expensive but worth the investment. Probably wait for the sales to happen(I did that!) and get this steal of a deal. I did a lot of research to actually find the best chair in this range and shortlisted this Ergohuman Gen 2. You can do a lot of customisations in this chair and because I'm slightly short I keep a foot rest under my table and I did this with my previous chair as well (completely optional, but if you're short it's good to keep it for ergonomic reasons). I don't recommend getting the foot extension/foot pad accessory though. I love the extent to which it lets you tilt. Being short I don't find the headrest that useful when I sit upright, but when you tilt it helps. The multidirectional arms and the height adjustment is amazing for the various movements/task (working with keyboards/mouse, reading books, using the phone etc). Overall it's a good chair that's worth your investment!

The backrest of the chair can be adjusted in multiple positions. The backrest positions aren't fixed, and it has a small range of movement. It makes some noise when you lean back with force, but it doesn't have much impact during daily use.

Very good chair, extremely customisable and comfortable. I was surprised by how smooth the chair wheels are. The mesh is strong, the armrests are very soft and the chair is overall very solid. Small caveats: leaning back in the chair causes the gaps between the lower and upper back support to open, when you lean forward it often will catch your jacket if you are wearing one. The armrests can be fiddly and not always stay up. Would prefer a button locking mechanism for the armrests, instead they unlock when they are pulled all the way up and can't be held at maximum height.
