Ellisha Bed Base & Lucy Bonnell Spring Mattress Set

We ordered two of these Ellisha Pine Wood Bed Bases – one for our son’s room and another for the spare room. Both are double beds, and we were using our own mattresses. The beds were incredibly easy to put together, taking around 25 minutes each with a drill. The instructions were clear, and I didn’t run into any issues. The delivery was spot on. In fact, the boxes arrived ahead of the expected dates, which was a nice surprise, especially with the ANZAC Day long weekend giving me the perfect opportunity to set them up. I love the simplicity of these beds. They’re no-frills, but that’s exactly what I wanted. The clean lines make changing sheets a breeze, which is a big win for me as a busy mum. The design is versatile enough that I could easily add a headboard if I wanted to change the look later on. These bed frames are perfect for what we need – easy to assemble, simple to maintain, and flexible enough to move around as we adjust the feel of the rooms. A practical solution without the hassle.

the item came securely packed and boxed. I was able to assemble the bed in 2 hours but I was really taking my time . the only difficulty I encountered was 2 screw-holes on one of the leg elements C were a tad small so screwing in the screw with the supplied allen key was hard I used a folded linen tea towel and got that job done . I really dont understand the need to screw the bed slats onto the frame. I have omitted doing this. the bed frame is now sitting in its place, with a mattress. looks good . even my wife approves. i wanted to order this item back around 10th April thinking it might be delivered by Easter. I delayed the purchase until this last monday 14 April. So I was truly amazed and "pleasantly surprised" when the smiling Allied Express courier guy presented at my residence yesterday afternoon around 2:00 pm. I thanked him for the prompt delivery to which he responded " No problems , buddy". What a guy!!!

Absolutely brilliant value. Bought it in two sizes, king and double, and was able to assemble alone. Took a bit of effort but the instructions are reasonable, so no issues. Looks great in the room, really nice colour. We have a heavy king mattress on it in the guest room and it is sturdy as. Cat has taken to it with her claws but damage is minimal and not noticeable unless you get up really close. High enough to get a vacuum under, so easy to keep clean underneath. I would buy this again with no hesitation if we ever needed to.

Not quite what I expected — disappointed with comfort and build quality We recently purchased the Medium Lucy Bonnell Spring Mattress and unfortunately, it hasn’t lived up to our expectations or the product description. Firstly, the edge support is underwhelming. I'm not a large person, yet when I sit on the edge of the bed, it sinks noticeably—almost down to the frame. This seems at odds with the claim of “reinforced edging” and leaves me concerned about the mattress's long-term durability. Secondly, the comfort level is disappointing. It’s described as “medium-firm,” but in reality, it feels quite soft and saggy. We’ve owned other medium mattresses (including Temple & Webster single mattresses) that have been far more supportive and comfortable. This one feels springy and uneven, and it lacks the stability you’d expect from a mattress designed for both comfort and support. The spring system is also questionable. On more than one occasion, we’ve heard a distinct uncoiling or popping sound when getting on or off the bed, which makes me concerned about the quality and lifespan of the internal structure. While I appreciate the dust and mite resistance and the breathable fabric, unfortunately, those features don’t outweigh the lack of support and overall feel of the mattress. I wouldn’t recommend this product based on our experience.

The slats are annoying when we’re changing linen because they slide out of the little black brackets so that would be my only complaint- they aren’t the traditional flat timber slats.

It’s nice design, however the quality pine timber is not up to standard. It’s perfect for DIY project, restore the pine timber for better quality and protection. Prep painted and top coat white painted, some pine timber have flaws splits and ply filler not perfectly filled. Timber filler worked and to improve stability slats with Velcro strips, fatter shorter screws in the slats between the frame. I am happy all the work done,it’s so much better improvement. Their package screws are skinny and long length too close to the edge, not suitable. Also the pine-plywood slats are not all flat, custom cut length irregular ends not perfect fitting end, it’s not up to standard. It just perfect budget project woodwork bed frame

We recently purchased the Elisha Pine Wood Bed base and were floored by it. Sorry, I didn't mean to drop that pun there, but this bed-base is such a winner on so many levels - so much so that snoozing on a pun would be impossible! The construction wasn't too difficult to attack, with a snails pace construction time of 30 minutes; resulting in a super sturdy base. The materials are sturdy and well crafted, making it both visually appealing and an asset to our bedroom. The true test is sleeping on it, and it is a divine winner. It makes no sense how this bed-base results in more comfort, but it does. No idea how or why that is, but we're not choosing to question it; but rather embrace is lovingly every deep sleep night that passes. Love it! We give it 5 snoozed up shut eye-lids out of 5.
