Cream Beige Penelope Machine Washable Rug

It’s a beautiful rug, very soft under the feet, it looks lovely, although it’s slip resistant it is a bit difficult to vacuum my shark stick vacuum cleaner wants to chew it up which is a shame.

As if to test this washable rug, the very next morning after it arrived, my dog had a rather dramatic accident on it. I seriously considered throwing the rug away, but the texture was so soft and comfortable — and my children loved it — so I decided to wash it. The good news is the stains came out quite easily. However, because the pile is long, it becomes unbelievably heavy when wet — it felt like I was washing an entire polar bear. It also takes a very long time to dry. That said, I really do love the rug itself, and right now I can’t wait for it to dry so I can put it back. I hope this worst-case experience helps others when deciding whether to buy it.

It looks as good in real life and true to the photos. It is so soft too. We have it on carpet and its exactly what we were looking for.

Beautiful rug and extremely soft underfoot. it does have the nonslip backing but because it is light weight and washable it does move quite easily as it doesn't have the weight to hold it down.

Would be ok on carpet but not on floor boards it’s very soft and looks pretty but very thin.

Dear fellow online shoppers, I will provide you with an immersive experience I have had with this rug. The box was light and easy to lift, which was splendid for the inflamed wrists I have caused myself during my recent move. Upon unboxing, again with little strain, I was delighted to see it is infact washable, so when my darling children spill an entire mircowave dinner onto this brand new rug, I won’t need to cry and have an irrational breakdown, nay, I will simply take it to the dry cleaner 50m down the road. I am also pleased with the size, as we know, this is not all that matters, but it is happily the right size. The pattern is as pictured, although the rug is fluffier than expected so the pattern is slightly more diffused than I thought, but I am well pleased and will likely be buying a lot more from temple and Webster because I have a problem. It’s very soft and lovely texture. It’s not very suitable for tiles and an anti slip mat didn’t make it any better.
