I have ADHD and need to spread my stuff all over the table: i put stationery in the top and papers and stuff in drawers 2 & 3 and then i can see all my stuff without cluttering my table. If you don't have a need to see your stuff spread out, a normal drawer unit would probably be better. Note that you'll want to put something heavy-ish in the lowest drawer to counterweight the others if you want them at 90/180 degrees from the base angle
