Caramel Kinship Hand-Loomed Wool Rug

I agonised over this rug for hours because I was chasing a very specific warm caramel tone - something rich & grounding without going too orange, too brown, or looking flat. Buying a rug online is always a bit of a gamble, so I was quite nervous about the potential of having to send this back - but this one absolutely delivered. The quality is beautiful: thick, dense wool that feels soft and substantial underfoot and sits nicely without curling. What I love most is the texture & tonal variation. The hand-loomed pile catches the light differently across the surface, so the colour shifts subtly rather than reading as one flat shade. In softer or evening light it looks deeper & more earthy; in natural daylight warmer golden and copper tones come through. It adds warmth and depth without looking shiny or synthetic and I’d say the finish is overall matte & natural. The Temple & Webster photos are very accurate, but the dimensional quality is even better in person. I’ve included photos in different lighting to try to show how the tone changes throughout the day - I don’t think pics do it justice. If you’re worried about it being too orange, too dark, or too flat, it’s a really well-balanced warm caramel. Purchased in 230 x 340 cm for reference. I’m genuinely thrilled with it and would happily buy from Conscious Loom again.
