Gently dust the furniture using a soft, lint-free cloth; for a deeper clean, dampen the cloth with a mixture of mild soap & water, wringing it out thoroughly so it's not dripping wet, & then wipe the wood; always dry immediately with a soft cloth; avoid direct sunlight, continuous exposure to direct sunlight can cause the wood to fade & dry out; always place your furniture away from direct sunlight or use curtains or blinds to protect it; if anything is spilled on the wood, wipe it off immediately to prevent staining; avoid using any abrasive materials or harsh chemicals on the surface; solid timber can expand or contract in varying humidity levels, try to maintain a stable environment with a humidity level of around 50-60% to prevent warping or cracking; use protective pads; when placing items on your timber furniture, use coasters, placemats, or protective pads to prevent scratches & stains; refrain from dragging; always lift furniture when moving it, instead of dragging, to prevent damage to both the furniture & the floor; over time, solid timber may undergo a natural aging process, enhancing its beauty; avoid excessive heat; do not place hot objects directly on the wood surface; use trivets or mats to protect the furniture from hot dishes; re-oil or wax depending on the finish of your furniture, it may benefit from periodic re-oiling or waxing
