About the Designer
Sophie Corks
"Artwork that just makes you happy is really special". Inspired by retro beach culture, childhood memories and the feeling of seeing the ocean for the first time, Sophie Corks' work is designed to bring joy and personality into the home. She describes her paintings as "playful, bold and nostalgic", and with colour at the core of her work, she aims to "stir emotion, spark memories and highlight the beauty in ordinary moments." "You don't necessarily need to paint a wall bright yellow or replace your entire sofa to bring colour into a room," she says. "A bold artwork can become a focal point and introduce several colours that you can then pick up through cushions, accessories or smaller pieces throughout the space." The Sophie Corks x Temple & Webster collection brings together Corks' signature use of colour and storytelling, offering an approachable way to bring more personality and joy into every home.
